View the Ambiance Interiors Design Studios and offices on East Chestnut Street
After over 33 years doing interior design from downtown Asheville, designer Kathryn Long ASID, her business partner Wayne Caldwell, and her “partner in design” Linda Constable decided it was time for a big change. Selling property downtown made possible the purchase and renovation of the iconic “Miss Annie West Cottage” designed by notable Asheville architect Richard Sharp Smith in 1900.
Exhibiting both excellent design and project management skills, the team’s renovation work was completed in 15 weeks! The doors to a new Ambiance Interiors were opened in May 2009. The following May, the renovation won a prestigious Griffin Award from the Preservation Society of Asheville and Buncombe County. On September of 2010, the design won a “Design Excellence” Award from the Carolinas Chapter of ASID. You are invited to stop by anytime during business hours.
