2016 Daltile Interior Design Scholarship, presented by Daltile and the ASID Foundation
Imagine What’s Possible 
The fifth annual Daltile Scholarship, presented by the ASID Foundation opens August 15th, 2016. This year’s competition recognizes the impact biophilic design can have on occupants within a space. Daltile and the ASID Foundation challenge you to design a hotel lobby using key biophilic design principles to address and enhance the guest experience.  Daltile will be awarding the Grand Prize winner $10,000 and the First, Second and Third Runners-Up $2,500 each. Joel Polsky Academic Achievement Award: recognizes an outstanding undergraduate or graduate student’s interior design research or thesis project. $5,000


Joel Polsky Prize: recognizes outstanding academic contributions to the discipline of interior design through literature or visual communication. $5,000


Irene Winifred Eno Grant: provides financial assistance for the creation of an educational program(s) or an interior design research project dedicated to health, safety and welfare. $5,000


Legacy Scholarship for Undergraduates: The Legacy Scholarship is open to all students in their junior or senior year of undergraduate study enrolled in at least a three-year program of interior design. The award will be given to a creatively outstanding student as demonstrated through their portfolio. $4,000


Legacy Scholarship for Graduate Students: The ASID Foundation Legacy Scholarship is open to students who are enrolled in or have applied for admission to a graduate-level interior design program at a degree-granting institution. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic/creative accomplishment. $4,000


David Barrett Memorial Scholarship: David Barrett Memorial Scholarship is given biennially by the ASID Foundation to recognize an outstanding undergraduate or graduate student’s work which demonstrates a continuing interest and ability in utilizing classical designs and traditional materials, inclusive of furniture and fabrics. $12,000
