Accredited Programs
Professional level programs accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation voluntarily place themselves before the scrutiny of the profession to ensure that students receive an education that will serve them not only during their time at school, but also prepare them for future professional growth. Students enrolled in an accredited interior design program can be confident that the program meets the quality standards recognized by the profession.
The list of accredited programs on this website supercedes all previously published lists. The list is updated twice a year following Accreditation Commission meetings at which accrediting decisions are made.
Key:
(2001, 2007) two dates in parenthesis represent the last accreditation decision and the year of the next review.
§ indicates the program's accreditation will expire on January 1, 2010 unless it meets the requirement of culminating in a minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
* indicates an extension has been granted by the Accreditation Commission for the next accreditation review.
indicates the program has been placed on probation for a specified term. Probation is an accreditation status indicating that critical weaknesses have been identified in an accredited program, which require improvement in order for the program to maintain accreditation. Probation provides the program a specific period of time to improve areas of weakness in order to maintain accreditation.
