Candidate: Rebecca Compton
Position: President-Elect
Candidate Statement
“Membership in any organization is so much more than just paying your dues each year. The true value is in the friendships that are developed, and the learning opportunities that are available. One of my primary goals is to encourage members and potential members to become actively engaged with regional and chapter events through outreach. Continued outreach to instructors and students in design programs in our chapter is also a vital component.”
Candidate: Nicole Folse Norris, ASID, NCIDQ
Position: Membership Chair
Candidate Statement
“My goal would be to align the state(s) and local issues with National goals and the assistance that ASID National provides, to continue to work toward some form of legislation for our profession, and I would love to see the promotion of more allied and associate members to professional membership.”
Candidate: Margaret Donaldson, ASID
Position: Director-at-Large
Candidate Statement
“I plan to continue promoting awareness about the ASID organization’s professionalism and leadership in the industry. I also plan to educate the public about the importance of our additional education how the NCIDQ certification can set designers apart. I would like to continue making networking and involvement with this organization appealing to members, as I firmly believe it is such an important part of ASID. I have built a great foundation through networking with the organization over the years, and I would like to encourage members, new and old, to make that important. I think the above are attainable by being open to new ideas, showing leadership amongst the group, and continuing to be dedicated to the organization in any way possible. I believe that we can only get better by giving back, and that is why I would like you to consider me for this role.”
