Amy Alexander is a local Charlotte native who graduated from Winthrop University with her degree in Interior Design. She is an Allied member of the American Society of Interior Design. She has an extensive background in residential and commercial design and has worked for top design and architectural firms in Charlotte, Atlanta, and Chicago. Firms like Sally Stowe Interiors, Cooper Carry & Associates Architects, and Gensler & Associates one of the largest architecture firms with offices located worldwide. She was the Lead Designer for the Drake Hotel project in Chicago which she managed a project budget of $10,000,00 dollars. Afterwards she return to Charlotte to establish Ask Amy Inc. Interior Design Firm in 1999 because she wanted to have contact with her clients on a more personal level. Amy Alexander believes that knowing and understanding each individual client is the most important way to create a space that they will truly be satisfied with.
