AgnesWillcoxASIDsml

Agnes Willcox

This award goes to two winners. The first recipient is AGNES WILLCOX, for her work as both the Financial Director and her innovative and exciting changes which she has spent the past year as President Elect working on. Agnes has a well rounded understanding of the chapter as it stands today, which is very different from when she first joined. With the tumultuous times caused by the recession, to the advent of social media and the ways technology changes design, Agnes is being handed a chapter that is very much growing into something new. She has faced this change with enthusiasm, always looking forward to see what is the best for the variety of members we serve, from students, to emerging professionals, to practioners and Industry Partners. She also looks to advance the ways in which the public and other built environment fields work with the organization.

The chapter is excited for all she has planned for the upcoming year and is thrilled to honor he with the Carolinas Chapter Award.

EmilyWalser

Emily Walser

The other Chapter Award goes to EMILY WALSER for all of her dedication to the chapter over the years. From before she became President, through her terms on the board, and even now as the outgoing CEU Chair, Emily has served with enthusiasm and dedication.

Though never one with a lack of things going on, Emily still manges to work with the Chapter to give the best effort possible to ensure exciting and productive events, such as this one. We are lucky to call her one of our members and we are thrilled to also honor her with the Carolinas Chapter Award.

Lastly, we have our most prestigious award, the ASID Carolinas Dora Gray – Distinguished Designer Award. The purpose of this award is to recognize and honor an ASID Carolinas designer who has made continuous outstanding contributions toward achieving ASID’s goal of excellence. This Award is based on the designer’s professional achievements demonstrating their creative and innovative concepts, as well as service to their community, and to ASID Carolinas Chapter.
